First time? Here’s what to expect

Doors open From 9:00 AM. The service starts at 9:30 and runs about 90 minutes. We also have a pre-service prayer meeting from 9:00 to 9:25.

Parking Free parking in the church grounds, with street parking alongside.

Your children Kids stay with you for the first part of the service, then go through to Sunday School at 10:00. Registration heppens at the welcome desk before the service starts.

What to wear Come as you are — you’ll see everything from jeans to jackets.

Can’t make it in person? Every Sunday message is streamed live on our YouTube channel, and stays up afterwards to watch any time.
The Fear of God

Our ministries
Most of what happens at CBC happens in one of these. Find the one that fits and come along.
CBC Youth
Two groups every Friday night. Grades 4–7 at 5:30, high school at 8:00.
Sunday School
Bible teaching for children, from 10:00 every Sunday.
Outreach
Weekly evangelism programs, annual Picnics at the Park, Trunk or Treat, and various other community facing service.
Soccer
A game every other week, 5-a-side or 11-a-side, finishing with a short message.
Worship
Singers, players, sound, slides and lighting, every Sunday morning.
Young Adults
College age into your mid thirties. Cell on Wednesdays, plus braais, hikes and a yearly formals and camps too!
Women of Worth (WOW)
A Saturday afternoon once a quarter. Talks, crafts, outings and a shared meals.
Cell Groups
Five groups. At CBC and in homes.
What sort of church this is.
We belong to the Baptist Union of Southern Africa and we meet on Cook Road, Claremont. We hold to the authority of Scripture and the call to make disciples, and we worship across the generational and cultural landscape.
We are growing into being properly present in Claremont and meeting the needs of our community, rather than just meeting here.
